DFDTV's Salute to Soupy Sales

DFDTV's Scott Barbarino, producer of Digitalricks.com and well known fixture of New York City's nightlife paid his respects to Soupy Sales on October 26, 2009 by attending the Funeral service for the late, great comedian.

Scott spoke with several of Soupy's contemporaries and admirers after the service. DFDTV is honored to present these brief interviews as our way of paying homage to the passing of a legendary television pioneer.

Soupy's appeal was cross-generational as was witnessed by the diversity of those personalities attending the funeral services, celebrating his life and legacy - ranging from Professor Irwin Corey to Food Network's Mark Summers.

DFDTV is helping define new television - extending the broadcast communication of yesteryear in which Soupy Sales was an active part. We are humbled by the work of performers like Soupy Sales, who exemplify the Golden Age of Television.

Web premiere on Oct 26, 2009.
